How many people visit the centre?
The Trade Centre host on average 50 overseas visitors per day. Approximately 80% of the visitors are from overseas and come from a very wide range of countries. While we do not turn away visitors all visitors are asked to register with those not involved in trade just recorded for statistical purposes. The Trade Centre is open weekdays from 9-00am - 5-00 PM. We are closed weekends and public holidays.

Are my products too specialised?
Many of the companies that have approached the centre about exhibiting have had this concern. However what they have found is that the visitors to the centre are very wide and varied. As an example Southcorp Elements who manufacture very niche tubular elements gained a substantial new customer from their display in the New Zealand Trade Centre.

Will it work for me as I have agents and distributors in lots of countries?
We have many companies that are in a similar position. What they have found however is that the Trade Centre is a great way for them to support their agents by sending leads from New Zealand. By default this allows you to monitor the effectiveness of your agents by gaining direct feedback from those leads that you provided.

Exhibitors such as NZ Dairy Board, ENZA and Fletchers have offices in all the markets they want to be in. They are here because they realise that just because they are NZ's largest exporters it does not means someone on holiday from California has heard of them or their office on the West Coast of the USA.

Am I too small a company?Companies of all sizes exhibit at the centre. Small or large they are viewed the same by visitors as the display cases are the same no matter what size the business is. The inquiry you receive from the centre can be handled in line with the growth path you have chosen to take. If the orders are too large to start with then advising a buyer of this is the best method of eventually doing business with them. Not all orders are for many container loads of products. Many of the smaller nations visit the centre along with buyers of large hotel chains who are after good numbers of product but not container loads yesterday.

I am too busy now, what will I do with more inquiry?
That's great news. A number of exhibitors in the Trade Centre are in the same position. The reason they are in the centre is that they are interested in talking to buyers that may pay a premium for their products or who might be able to open a new market for them. New business that is ongoing can give you the confidence to invest in new plant and increased staff.

The Trade Centre can also assist you to develop a quick response system to handle the many inquiries we expect you to receive.

I am too busy to set up a display. Can you help?
Lots of exhibitors were in the same position as you are. They found that using a professional display artist not only did they get a fantastic display but the actually saved money because of the small amount of time and money to use such a person.

We have a company that has done some of the best displays in the centre. Without any obligations we will put you in touch with them. To view some of his work click here.
